Sonic Débris

Welcome to Sonic Débris, the home of the sonic musings of Radiophonic Fretless, AKA Flatwound and Fretless, occasionally just known as Tony, some of whose compositional jottings are available on the following pages.

Sonic Débris is a pun on the French term des bruits (some sounds);
Des Bris - Desmond Briscoe, one of the founders of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop;
and débris - "the remains of anything broken down or destroyed; ruins; rubble".

I leave you to choose the proportions.

Some of these works are true musique concrète; some are a mix of concrète and synth; some are a mix of found sound, instrument and synth; some are pure synth; some are other mixtures...
Some even have voices - or what might be sounds modified from voices...

Check out the various pages using the menu and see if something inspires you.

the page Débris Elsewhere has links to works where my material has been used in collaboration with other artists' work.
